Stargraph LLC is owned and operated in the United States and you can reach us by email at hello@stargraph.net. This privacy policy covers the scope of data collected in the Stargraph app.
Last modified: 05-05-2026
The Stargraph app does not collect any information by default.
If you opt-in to share usage & diagnostics then session details regarding the hardware device will be collected.
This includes: a randomly generated app installation ID, which features in the app you use, what star you are trying to find, how close the device got to the target, and a blurred gps location (sanitized within ~1km of your actual position). This data helps us improve the Stargraph hardware by replaying sessions and finding ways to optimize the calculations.
All data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure acting strictly as our data processor, and is never shared with external marketing or analytics networks.
Because Stargraph uses randomly generated IDs and blurs location data, we do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
All data is encrypted in-transit with HTTPS and encrypted at-rest using strong 256-bit AES encryption. The data can only be accessed programmatically through a secured API.
In the event of a data breach, no compromising information can be included since we don't collect personally identifiable information.
All telemetry is deleted after 24 months.
